When you have opted for Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) option after your twelfth Boards examination you must have planned what to do after completing graduation. Here in this article we discuss career options you may pursue after BA.

1) Prepare for UPSC or SSC exams

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission of India conduct exams for various posts round the year. Select an exam of your choice and start preparing for the same. Many students who opt for BA prefer Civil Services. While doing BA, they keep preparing for the competitive examination. This is the right way to earn a degree while preparing for entrance examinations.

2) Data Scientist (Diploma in Data Science)


Many may think only science stream students have copy right on ‘Scientist’ word, while this is not true. Data science is one of the much sought after fields right now as data scientists are in extreme demand as data scientists are required for creating self-driving cars to automatically captioning images. Data scientist helps companies interpret and manage data and solve complex problem using expertise in a variety of data niches.


3) Specialize in Business Analytics

Business analytics is the process of identifying where companies could do better, and how to get there, using data. A Business Analyst mine and analyze data to reach valuable business insights. You can go for a diploma or for a specialized course.

After doing Specialize in Business Analytics you may get job of Project Manager, Market Research Analyst, Supply Chain Manager, Big Data Analytics Specialist.

4) Enter the Insurance Industry


You can become an Insurance Advisor, Development officer or join insurance sector as an Actuary. To become an Actuary you need to pass all the actuarial exams (15 of them) and have 3 years of practical work experience.

For any other post in insurance sector, you just need to clear the entrance examination.


5) Enhance Your Qualification

After doing your graduation, you may pursue Masters in desired subject. By doing masters you open doors for various other opportunities for yourself. Master of Arts refers to postgraduate degrees, which BA graduates can join to pursue higher studies in their preferred areas. MA programs are perfect for those who want to study higher and enter doctorate programs or M. Phil.

6) Become a Manager (MBA)After graduation, you can pursue masters of business administration (MBA). In an MBA program, you’ll learn about solving business problems, which would allow you to become a competent manager. This is the most pursued course in India right now. It opens plethora of opportunities for the candidates with good pay scale.


7) Become a Lawyer


B.A. LLB, how it sounds? It sounds good, right? Yes, doing LLB after BA is a better option. Getting a Bachelor of Legislator Law (LLB) is imperative to become a lawyer in India. After completing the course you can start practising as lawyer in any Indian court. After becoming a lawyer you can study further to pursue Judicial Services Exam and become a judge, which is another popular career choice.
